Preview of new partnership with Callaway Golf
Starting 2025 strong with an upgrade to the golf services at Vipingo Ridge.
As the only PGA-branded course in Africa standards are high, and in 2025 we’re raising the game through a new partnership with the globally recognised Callaway Golf.
Callaway have come to Kenya and partnering with Vipingo Ridge is a fantastic fit. Their performance enhancing equipment across balls, clubs and accessories will help Vipingo Ridge to continue to set the standard for golf in Kenya. The new partnership has a number of layers aimed to elevate the experience for Members and guests.
Here we take a look at the latest exciting developments and a look to some of the planned collaborations in 2025.
Clubs to hire upgraded
To start the partnership in style we are delighted to offer brand new Callaway clubs as our hire clubs for the course.
Offering mens, ladies, right and left handed options, we now have a full compliment of premium clubs available to hire. So if you’re coming on safari and don’t want to carry your bag, or you find yourself at the Coast with some spare time, we’ve got you covered.
Kenya Coast Callaway Club Fitting Event
For the Members we launched the availability of appointments for a complimentary club fitting session with Callaway over two days.
Within 48 hours we were ‘sold out’ for the 1 hour appointments on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th January. After discussion with Callaway we managed to bring a second fitter from Mauritius to help us to meet the enthusiasm for the service.
After a second sell out, the PGA Academy was ready to welcome clients.
Here’s a reel from one of our clients on the experience:
Don’t worry if you missed out. We are planning a further session in the Easter break. Please let us know if you’d like to join the Wait List.
New Proshop Merchandise
To start the ‘Callaway corner’ we have Callaway branded balls and more orders are on the way to diversify our product range in the Proshop in the Vipingo Ridge Clubhouse.
New Support for Ladies Number 1 Golfer Naomi Wafula
From Callaway caps and Callaway gloves to a new Callaway golf bag, the top women’s golfer in Kenya, and the Kenya team Captain, has had an upgrade courtesy of the new partnership.
Naomi calls the PGA Baobab Course her home course, living, working and training at Vipingo Ridge. We’re delighted to be able to extend support to her as part of the new arrangement with Callaway Golf.
Naomi Wafula joined the Club Fitting event, helping run the event at the PGA Academy alongside our resident Pros, but also as part of the partnership, and one of our sponsored talents, she had an exclusive pre-release experience of the new Elyte Drivers, one of the first to try the Drivers.
More to come soon as we share the outcome of her Club Fitting soon.
PGA Academy and Driving Range Branding
Looking ahead to what’s next. The Club Fitting event was also an opportunity for the Callaway team to put the finishes touches on the new branding for the PGA Academy.
From merchandising the building to new distance markers - watch this space for updates as this new partnership goes from strength to strength.
As always our Proshop team are ready to welcome you. Please contact the team to join us at the PGA Baobab Course
