Exciting WA INEOS Grenadier partnership extends to sponsorship of Duathlon event
Wootton Automotive (WA) are returning to the Kenya coast this Easter after confirming headline sponsorship of the annual Easter Duathlon at Vipingo Ridge.
WA representing INEOS Automotive in Kenya partnered with Vipingo Ridge in December 2023, offering an exciting off road test driving experience and sponsoring the inaugural Vipingo Ridge Ryder Cup event (Kenya v the Rest of the World).
The event was very well received by the Vipingo Ridge members and it was an opportunity for WA to showcase the new INEOS Grenadier off road vehicle. There were many test drives of the vehicle, exploring a variety of terrains within the Vipingo Ridge development, impressing clients with the capabilities of the vehicle.
INEOS and the Vipingo Ridge Duathlon: a perfect fit
While WA proudly represent the vehicle manufacturer INEOS in Kenya, globally INEOS has a strong pedigree in both cycling and outdoor pursuits, and the spirit of INEOS and the INEOS Grenadier is one of excellence, adventure and determination. We could not think of a better partner for our Sprint Duathlon.
The INEOS Grenadier will be joining us at the event, entrants and supporters will have an opportunity to see the vehicle in person.
The INEOS Grenadier Test Driving Opportunities
The Grenadier is positioned as the best automotive “multi-tool” out there, to plug this very real market gap. On their last visit to Vipingo Ridge we focused on the off-road capabilities of the vehicle. We showcased the live axles, steel bumpers, coil springs, coil dampers, ladder chassis, 2-speed transfer case - all the things that your old 4x4 has (and more - such as the triple locking diffs).
This time the Grenadier will be acting as the support vehicle around the Duathlon course during the morning of the event, as well as there being an opportunity for afternoon test drives.
We all know about the 4x4 side of the Grenadier, but we want to highlight the other side of the Grenadier as well.
Perfectly refined, comfortable and usable as a daily driver and/or touring vehicle with overall comfort levels. You cannot ignore the BMW turbocharged engines (tropicalised for our Kenya fuel), 8-speed automatic ZF gearbox, apple car play, climate control, modern suspension components and geometry, brembo brakes.

2024 INEOS event welcomes a new award and teams
There is a great competitive atmosphere at the Duathlon as entrants challenge themselves and push for their best. We will once again have prizes, medals and certificates for a number of key categories, recognising the best times in each grouping.
This year will be extra special as WA are kindly donating an extra prize in honor of their support of the event. This award is The Spirit of the Grenadier.
This prize will be awarded to the one that demonstrates the most grit. This is a drive and determination that embodies the characteristics of the Grenadier and the true spirit of the brand.
This year’s Duathlon will also have sponsored teams from within the Vipingo Ridge workforce. This is part of our dedication to health and wellbeing, encouraging our team members to be active and work together. WA will also be entering a team, as well as acting as the support vehicle around the route.
