The INEOS Grenadier takes on Vipingo Ridge: a fantastic event
Vipingo Ridge and Wootton Automotive (WA), the INEOS Grenadier distributor, teamed up to put on an action-packed 3-day event at the Kenyan coast. The weekend featured a 3-day Ryder Cup Golf tournament, a special product preview evening, and lots of test driving.

Vipingo Ridge blends luxury and comfort with wild spaces, making it an ideal spot for the WA team to demonstrate the world’s newest 4x4 vehicle, the INEOS Grenadier. One of the major attractions of Vipingo Ridge is its diverse range of terrains.
One can go from enjoying a cold cocktail overlooking the manicured greens of the renowned PGA-accredited 18-hole championship golf course, to driving through a wildlife conservancy on rough, washed-away roads, all whilst taking in the stunning views of the Indian Ocean below.
Vipingo Ridge and the INEOS Grenadier make the perfect pairing. Both bring together modern comforts with wilder Africa.

The INEOS Test Driving weekend
Friday, Saturday and Sunday was packed with back-to-back group and individual test drives. Vipingo Ridge did a superb job in constructing a course that allowed the WA team to highlight not just the exceptional off-road capabilities, but the breadth of capability the Grenadier has to offer.
With the course starting on paved roads, guests experienced the Grenadier’s on-road performance and comfort whilst learning about the interior and key vehicle features. The route then led us to explore the off-road sections of the course where the Grenadier’s numerous 4x4 features could shine. Guests were shown the purpose of good approach, departure and breakover angles, suspension articulation and the use of axle lockers.
Vipingo Ridge homeowners noted, “it is great to see the Grenadier in action, especially the use of the 3 differential locks which make a huge difference, we got over every obstacle and we didn’t feel like the Grenadier struggled.”
The WA Team remarked, “The event was fantastic. We didn’t have to tell anyone how good the vehicle was, they saw it for themselves. As we manoeuvred the washouts, steep inclines and descents, side slopes and axle twisters, the Grenadier performed every time.”
Looking to the future
WA will be back for more of these events in the future and expressed “Vipingo Ridge has been exceptional in assisting to make this event not just a reality, but a roaring success. It was refreshing to come to a place that is well-organised, friendly, well-kept and professional.”
