Vibrant Golf Events in April

Vipingo Ridge Golf Club continues to create opportunities for Members to pursue their love at home and away, and welcome guests to enjoy the PGA Baobab Course.

In April we welcomed the rains, enjoyed a busy school holidays at the Club with the Easter weekend a highlight. Our Members also represented Vipingo Ridge in a number of Kenya golf events, creating a vibrant month of golf alongside our Clubnite competitions.

Here we share highlights from an interesting and diverse month of golf as our new Club Captain and Golf Committee continue to bring their energy and dedication to the Club.

Tannahill Shield Centenary

Vipingo Ridge was proudly represented by Wellington and Damaris at Royal Golf Club in Nairobi on 11th April. Playing very well and proudly in the prizes they won the Tannahil Centenary Invitational day (pictured above).


Popular New Event: the Easter Alliance

The mid-month competitions at the PGA Baobab Course aim to create fun and new formats for Members and Guests to enjoy.

The Easter Alliance, though during the Tannahill Shield main team event in Nairobi attracted over 40 players who joined the 3-ball Alliance competition on Saturday 19th April.

The scoring format, 1st Hole - 1 best score, 2nd Hole - 2 best scores, 3rd Hole - all 3 scores (and repeat) was a fun new competition.

Prizegiving was at the new Vipingo Ridge venue, the Pool Gardens, where guests enjoyed a group table and prizegiving, with a bitings platter.

Ladies Inter Coast Competition

On Friday 25th April the Ladies of Vipingo Ridge Golf Club joined the competition based at nearby Nyali Golf Club, our neighbouring 18-hole course. Though our team turnout was smaller than other clubs, the ladies played well for their first away game of the year, doing Vipingo Ridge proud.
