Charity golf tournament success at the PGA Baobab Course

On Sunday 6th October 2024 Vipingo Ridge were delighted to join a number of sponsors to support the annual Christopher Seex Memorial event.

This charity tournament celebrates the life of Christopher Seex and in 2024 supports charitable organisations KSPCA and Future Hope School Vipingo Village Fund. Over 500,000 KSH was raised for the charities.

The Golf went very well thanks to the pleasant weather and the course being in good condition. There were over 60 golfers on the course who played in 3-balls, and 75 guests joined for the curry lunch, with Dawa and Sushi bar provided by organisers the Tamarind Group.

There were a number of sponsors and some great prizes. The overall winner was Vipingo Ridge Member Mandy Horsey.

1st. Mandy Horsey
2nd. Nyairo Wahu
3rd. Sandeep Khandari
4th. Ken Luusa
5th. Millicent Nyaga

The Tamarind sponsored Christopher Seex Memorial Golf Day is one of our major events of the year with the prizes donated by Tamarind, Davis and Shirtliff, Tatu City, and Wines and More.

The amazing trophy won is a piece by Coast-based artist Roger Jessop, a Lilac-Breasted Roller, the national bird of Kenya. Though there were many amazing prizes, one eluded all the players.

Sean Garstin had offered a car for a hole in one for the 8th hole. Not winning a Toyota Prado did not dampen the spirits of the competitors.
